I've always had really sticky rice when making the 'real' kind. One day I was watching food network and saw this tip - it has changed my rice! Evidently rinsing the starch off makes all the difference in the world!
Place rice in a colander (mine was too big so I put a paper towel in so the rice would not fall out)
Rinse rice until water runs clear. It will be very cloudy at first
Cook as directed on package - don't forget to salt your water!
