My Kroger Trip 4/19/10

Here was my Kroger trip for the week. Here's the breakdown:

Free: 2 McCormicks Grill Mates, Lawry's Marinade, 2 Fage Yogurt, 4 7-UP, Organic Pasta Sauce, Cheerios (last three were free coupons Kroger sent me in the mail)

Dollar or less: 8 bags of Organic Carrots $0.59 each (to make baby food), 2 dozen eggs $0.88, Snuggle $0.99,  Grapes $0.99, Nature's Pride Bread $1

Other: Organic Celery $1.39, Arm and Hammer $2.99, Chicken Breast $1.77/lb, Ground Beef $1.99/lb, and Kraft 2% cheddar slices $1.49 each (normally $4.25!)

Total before sales and coupons: $87.69
Total Paid: $29.16 plus a code for a free digital reward
Total Saved: $68.33 or 78%

Now that's what I call a good day at Kroger! These were the last two Fage yogurts at my store so I did go back and grab 4 more for free. Add that in and my total savings are $77.09! Who said coupons and sales can't buy you good, wholesome food? :)

I so cant wait to meet you when you come to Texas... you can ask ashley about this bc she is the one who told me but you are not supposed to make your own carrot... something about the nitrates. Just a heads up.

thanks Kallie, I read that too! I plan on roasting them in rounds and then freezing them for him to have when he's older, around 8 months or so. Luckily they are the organic kind so the percentage of nitrates is lower with those.
