Basic Pizza Dough

I found a recipe for pizza dough in family circle that I tried many years ago and it has evolved into this recipe that our family loves. If you like a thin crust pizza, like we do, then cut it in half before rolling out.

Ingredients
1 cup warm water
2 1/4 tsp yeast
2 1/2 cups unbleached or whole wheat flour
1 tsp honey
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon olive oil

In a small bowl dissolve yeast and honey in warm water, let sit 5 minutes. In a large bowl, combine flour and salt, make a well in the center and add yeast mixture and olive oil to the center well. Stir together until dough becomes a ball (or in a mixer with a dough hook). Roll out on a floured surface for a few minutes and return to a greased bowl and let sit for 1 hour while it rises (once I only had 30 minutes to let it rise and it did just fine). Once dough has risen, remove from bowl, punch down and roll out with a well greased roller. Top with desired toppings and bake for 18-20 minutes on 425 degrees.
