Beef and Bean Taco Filling

Beef and Bean Taco Filling

I made this for dinner last night as tacos and they were so good and so quick and easy. The best part is that each serving is only 4 grams of fat and thanks to the beans, tomato sauce and salsa you get a great source of vegetables and fiber too! Enjoy over a lowfat tortilla or bed of lettuce for a delicious healthy meal. Not interested in saving calories? Use as a base for nachos, load up and enjoy!

Ingredients
1/2 lb lean ground beef (turkey or veg crumbles)
1 can black beans, rinsed and drained
1 8 oz tomato sauce
1/2 cup prepared salsa
1 taco packet
1/3 cup water
desired shells and toppings

In a large pan, brown meat - rinse and drain. Return to heat and add remaining ingredients. Stir to combine and simmer over low heat 15 minutes. Serve in shells, over lettuce or nachos. Enjoy!

Makes 12 Servings - Fat: 4g, Calories 92, Fiber 3g, Protein 6g
