Eggs

Ever find a carton of eggs on closeout for a great price only to notice that the 'expiration' date on the side is for tomorrow? I mean, what on earth are you going to use a carton of eggs on in one night? Unless you are planning on making an egg heavy casserole or baking up a storm you probably aren't going to use them that night. If you are like me then you probably will just put them back and keep on walking. Next time, buy them! I read an article not too long ago in Cooking Light that said that the date on the egg carton is actually a purchase by date, not an expiration date.

Eggs, if stored properly in the fridge are good 30 days past the date on the side of the carton! So, go ahead, stock up on eggs this holiday season while they are super cheap and enjoy them over the next month.
