Groceries 6/2 - why you should stockpile with coupons

Since we are moving to a place where my nearest Kroger will be an HOUR away (gasp) I am playing the serious stockpile game until we move while my two favorite stores are only 2 minutes away. Here is what I got at our local schnucks - it is a GREAT get some stuff for free week! I know what you're thinking, why do I need all that bbq sauce?!? Well, for one, I'm giving 8 to my aunt who loves this sauce and two, it doesn't expire until June 2011 - I know we can go through 12 bottles of free sauce in a year :) I will be going back for more free juice, free wacky mac pasta that they were completely out of, more trail mix (we can go through that like water around here) and 2 more packages of hot dogs for the freezer. I normally never buy paper plates/cups unless they are free but we are moving and $0.25 to not do dishes sounded great to me.
Free after coupon: 20 sweet baby rays BBQ sauce, 1 crab classic, 2 old orchard juice, 2 Pompeian Red Wine Vinegar

Less than $1 after coupon: 6 Turkey Hot Dogs - $.50 each, 4 Turkey Bologna - $0.50 each, 8 Trail Mix ($1/2 tear pad) $0.50 each, 3 Solo plates and 1 Cups $0.25 each (use $0.75/1 coupons and got a $4 catalina for purchasing 4)

Total before sales and coupons: $139.07
Total spent: $10
Total Saved: $129.07 or 93%
Now - why pay full price for anything later when you can stockpile it now for free?

*Don't forget to enter the giveaway here and dish with us over here!

I think that the grocery police are going to hunt you down for steals like that. That's the real reason you're moving, huh?

Where can I find the bbq sauce coupon?

5/23 smart source. I ordered 20 on ebay for $1.50

how did you get the bbq free? The coupon I have is $1/2 so that would make them each .50 when on sale for $1?? I am only asking to see if there is something else I need to do to get if free. Thanks!

The coupon I had said $1/2 or $1/1 of the larger. I had every intention of paying $0.49 each for the BBQ sauce (they were on sale $0.99 each) but for some reason their computer/register system took the coupon as $1/1 making them free. I said something but they said they actually have to take it as the computer/register reads it, so, free bbq sauce for me!

I went today and the Solo were $2.50. Alot of them had $1 peelies on the package so after the catalina they were $.50 each. I was wondering how you got yours for $.25? Maybe the register misread your coupons for those too? :)

oh, and I used another computer today to try to print more Oscar Mayer and Old Orchard coupons and I couldn't find them :(

lol Ginny, I bought them at Schnucks with their last week ad (on tuesday) when they were $2 each.

$2 minus the 0.75 coupon and catalina makes them $0.25 :)

Are you still going to do the kroger matchups every week? I hope so!! Don't know what us local girls would do without your list!

I am still going to do the list! I will have a Kroger Delta near me that I plan on driving to :)
