And just like that it's April! I hope ya'll had a wonderful Easter. I forgot to set out my turkey Saturday morning before we went out of town so I made an Italian Roast for Easter dinner instead. My brother is in town this week - he chose to spend his spring break with us. I feel so honored...if you ever wonder where people who live in Florida go for Spring Break then wonder no more - they head north! Well, north-ish...as north as North Mississippi anyway - ha!
Here's our plan...you have to plan heavy for a growing teenage boy:
Monday: Grilled Burgers and Home-made Oven Fries
Tuesday: Baked Tortellini, Salad and Bread
Wednesday: Teryaki Pork Chops, Yellow Rice, Broccoli and Rolls
Thursday: Taco Night
Friday: Steak, Baked Potatoes, Steamed Veggies
Saturday: Harvest and Grain Pancakes, Homemade blueberry syrup, bacon and eggs
Sunday: BBQ Chicken Pizza, Raw Veggies and Pineapple slices
I did a lot of fun baking last week. I took some snickerdoodles to our out of town friends. I love baking for others. Not only do you get to bless them but you can have one or two cookies without the whole batch sitting in your kitchen calling your name!
We made our bunny cake on Sunday and tonight, our 2 1/2 year old was so excited to show it to his uncle that he pulled it out of the fridge and it fell all.over.the.floor. It seriously had one piece eaten out of it. I'm pretty sure my husband almost cried. Ya'll don't understand his love for sweets. Needless to say, I've got to get to baking!
Don't forget there are lots of great menu ideas over at OrgJunkie!
